Niall Horan Recorded A Duet With Maren Morris Called 'Seeing Blind'

Niall Horan's slow and steady transition into solo pop superstardom is taking a slight country-charged turn with an upcoming duet with Maren Morris called "Seeing Blind."

Word of Horan's duet arrived on Wednesday (August 9) during industry event Capitol Congress, where the former One Direction bandmate premiered the collaboration and revealed the backstory behind the team-up. According to Variety, Horan reached out to Morris via e-mail and she was happy enough to make the idea a reality. It was as simple as that. Elsewhere in the report, the outlet reported that "the song has the acoustic base that Horan has made his trademark, along with an infectious chorus accentuated by Morris' vocals."

Back in May, Horan spoke about owning his solo sound during an interview at KIIS FM's Wango Tango. "There was a lot of 1D stuff I wrote that was along the lines of Fleetwood [Mac], stuff like that, and I hear myself in them songs now sometimes," the 23-year-old singer said. "But this time it's just completely me, so I get to do what I want when I want, really."
