Each year Pinterest puts out a forecast for trends that will be big the next year, which makes so much sense since they can see the searches that are ramping up at the end of each year. So while I believe these predictions may be accurate, I'm not thrilled about all of them. Explore all the Pinterest predictions HERE but check out some of the ones I'm most concerned about below!
- Big hair, big jewelry, big accessories. After fully embracing the athleisure movement of comfort during the pandemic, I just can't imagine going back to the effort and discomfort of making everything big and over the top again.
- Blue eyeshadow, blue eyeliner, blue nail polish, blue everything. The only reason I have an issue with this is because the blue eyeshadow reminds me of my introduction to makeup which was terrible, and I'm colorblind so neutrals and all black are much easier for me to coordinate.
- "Inch Stone." This is basically the idea that instead of just celebrating milestones, parents are celebrating every minor moment their children hit. Again, the only reason I don't like this one is because of the effort. While my husband and I definitely celebrate small moments with our little boy when they happen, I don't want to throw a cupcake party for every tiny little thing.
