Miranda Lambert And Husband Celebrate First Christmas As Married Couple

Miranda Lambert and new husband Brendan McLoughlin are celebrating their first Christmas as a married couple. The country star and her husband spent Christmas day down in Texas relaxing with family.

"Merry Texmas Y’all! 🎄❤️ #soPLAIDtobehome #famdamnly #furbabies #70andsunny #warmwishes☀️ #pineywoods" Lambert wrote in the caption for a series of three photos from the holiday.

The first photo shows Lambert and McLoughlin along with the singer's brother, Luke Lambert. The second shot is of the couple posing with their adorable dog on the deck outside.

The final photo is a collage of the happy couple along with Lambert's many horses, dogs, cats, and rabbits. It reads, "Love from the McLoughlin herd" at the top.

The "It All Comes Out In The Wash" singer also shared her love for Texas in her Instagram Story writing, "cutoffs on Christmas! Oh Texas how I love you."

Lambert and McLoughlin tied the knot secretly in January 2019 and didn't announce it publicly until just after Valentine's Day in February. Lambert says that the decision to keep the day under wraps was a no-brainer due to the scrutiny her love life has received over the years.

“I was married before, and it was a huge wedding and everything was very public. So was my divorce,” Lambert said of her previous marriage to Blake Shelton. “I learned then that it’s not for everybody else. This is my actual life. With Brendan, I made it a point to keep it as private as I could for as long as I could.”

The couple has been splitting their time between New York City and Nashville, which Lambert previously told Extra is "the best of both worlds."

“We spend time in New York, we get to see our adorable nugget [McLoughlin’s year-old son from a previous relationship], then we get to come back to the farm and have the quiet life,” she shared. “I’m enjoying the balance.”

In 2019, Lambert released her Wildcard album which she plans to go on tour to promote in 2020. The "Wildcard Tour" kicks off on January 16 in Tupelo, Mississippi and runs through May 9. Cody Johnson and Lanco will join Lambert on the tour along with Randy Rogers Band and Parker McCollum for a few select stops.
