Billy Ray Cyrus Feels 'Calm, Peace Of Mind' With Actress Elizabeth Hurley

Billy Ray Cyrus spoke about his relationship with actress Elizabeth Hurley, which brings him "a calm and a peace of mind.”

Cyrus, 64, caught up with PEOPLE days before he releases his first studio album in 14 years. The “Achy Breaky Heart” icon spoke about his music, reconnecting with his children, and his newfound romance with the actress, 61. He told the outlet, “I do feel at this moment a calm and a peace of mind of knowing that I'm on the right path—and certainly love feels good. I can't give enough credit to what Elizabeth has brought to my life.”

Cyrus and Hurley met while filming Christmas in Paradise together in 2022, and reconnected about two years later. They publicly launched their relationship with a flirty photo on Easter in 2025. Cyrus was previously married to Tish Cyrus, 59, for nearly 30 years. Cyrus adopted Tish’s two children, Brandi Cyrus, 38, and Trace Cyrus, 37, when he married Tish in 1993. He and Tish share daughter Miley Cyrus, 33, son Braison Cyrus, 32, and daughter Noah Cyrus, 26, and Cyrus is also a father to son Christopher Cody, 34, from a previous relationship. Cyrus briefly remarried singer-songwriter FIREROSE, 38, before he reconnected with Hurley. Hurley was previously married to Arun Nayar, 61, and shares son Damien Hurley, 24, with late businessman and film producer Steve Bing.

Hurley told PEOPLE that “family really matters,” and she appreciates that the country star and her son “get on so well.” She said of Cyrus, “in the past year I’ve really enjoyed starting to get to know some of his kids, too. He’s been so happy making this new album with Braison and Noah, and it was a huge treat being on the set with him when he shot the Hannah Montana [20th] anniversary special with Miley.”

Cyrus worked on his new album, The Hill, with producer and co-writer Braison. the project includes a duet with his youngest daughter, Noah. Cyrus told PEOPLE, “all these years later it’s going back to our roots as a family. and to be in this moment with them, it’s just a great celebration of our family. …I like how everything looks right now. I finally found this wonderful place where I'm happy.” The Hill will release on June 16.
