University Holds Their Graduation Completely In Minecraft

Tons of schools and colleges are having "virtual graduation ceremonies" for students as we slowly get out of coronavirus lockdown, but the University of California-Berkeley decided to hold the entire ceremony in Minecraft!

Rather than have a Zoom call where everyone's told they graduated, school officials and the campus community banded together to create a virtual ceremony entirely in Minecraft and even had some graduating seniors build it as part of their senior projects!

Students and faculty completely recreated UC Berkeley’s campus in the game and students were told to walk the virtual campus into the auditorium like they would during a normal graduation.

The ceremony was streamed on Twitch and they even had Twitch co-founder Justin Kan and Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan give keynote addresses.

You can watch the entire commencement speech on Twitch below!
