The Mooney family is growing again!

Shay Mooney and his wife, Hannah, are expecting baby No. 3, and they shared a heartwarming video capturing the moment Hannah told the couple’s sons — Asher, 5, and Ames, 2 — that they were going to have a new baby brother. In the sweet clip shared on Friday (August 12), Hannah speaks to each boy individually. Though each boy predicted they’d have a sister, Hannah announced, “it’s a baby brother!”

“Mooney Baby #3!” Hannah captioned the sweet clip on Instagram. “Thankful. Excited. Tired. 😂”

Mooney shared a video on his Instagram story, hilariously capturing Ames saying “no,” he’s not excited about being a big brother. Mooney told his unborn son, “don’t listen to him, buddy,” and confirmed that baby Mooney is “coming in strong” in February.

Hannah, sharing a clip with her husband on her own Instagram story, hilariously called Mooney husband a “liar” when he said he predicted the third baby would be a boy. She admitted that when the nurse told her she was expecting another boy, no one saw it coming: “Everyone in the whole house was convinced, even the boys, and we didn’t encourage (one way or the other), we just asked them what they thought they were gonna have.”

Mooney and Hannah welcomed their first child, Asher James Mooney, in January 2017. When he shared a photo on Instagram introducing his newborn child, the Dan + Shay artist said at the time: “It's hard to describe the love you feel for the first time when you hold your child. I will never be the same. Asher James, I promise to be the father you deserve. And Hannah, I promise to be the husband you want and need. I love you both so much. You've given me everything I never knew I needed.”

Ames Alexander followed in February 2020, and Mooney beamed as a proud father all over again. He wrote, in part: “Asher has been so excited to meet you, ‘baby brover’. You are already so loved. I’m so proud to be your dad. And you have have the best momma on planet earth. ❤️😭”

The joyous announcement comes shortly after Mooney and Hannah celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary. Hannah shared at the time that the marriage has been filled with “millions of laughs, thousands of tears, hundreds of concerts, countless prayers, and a lifetime still to come. …I wouldn’t want to do this life with anyone else!”

Mooney added in his own post, sharing a series of wedding photos: “Don’t know how you’ve put up with me for this long, but I’m sure glad you do. I love you so much Hannah Love. Here’s to the next 50.”
