Apparently these etiquette rules are important on Thanksgiving, but I've never intentionally followed any.
1. You're supposed to pass the salt and pepper together, even if someone only asked for one.
2.Wait for the host or hostess to unfold and place their napkin on their lap before you start eating.
3. Cut one piece at a time before eating, and do so slowly.
4. Refill the glasses of everyone around you before filling your own, even if there's aren't totally empty and yours is.
5. Wait until everyone is finished to go back for seconds so there is enough for everyone to get second.
Most of these are probably just good manners to follow at any meal, but I still don't need the pepper when I ask for the salt.
