Younger People Are Watching The Least TV...

How many hours of TV do you watch every day? Well if you're between 18 and 34 probably an average of 2 hours and 17 minutes! At least that's the data that Nielsen found. This youngest group actually spends the least amount of time, because those between 35 and 49 watch an average of 4 hours and 8 minutes each day, while those between 50 and 64 spend 6 hours and 11 minutes watching TV. The most time spent watching each day goes to people 64 and over at an average of 7 hours and 24 minutes.

Here's the thing though, while this may have a little to do with the older generations being retired, perhaps having more free time, it's also because this data doesn't include the amount of time watching Netflix and other online streaming services, or using their phones and tablets. So yes, I fall into the 18-34 category...and I watch 0 hours of TV every day....but probably at least 4 hours of Netflix, and sooo many more hours listening to radio and podcasts!
