There's no change in the amount of exercise we should be getting...but they changed what they consider exercise, so you may already be getting more than you think! According to previous guidelines adults should be getting 2.5 to 5 hours of moderate-intensity exercise each week, plus two or more days of strength training. The new guidelines still keep about the same amount of exercise as the goal, but there's a change in what counts towards it! Before an activity had to last at least 10 minutes to count, but now, any amount of physical activity, even in shorter amounts than 10 minutes benefits you!
