The creator says he was fooled too, so it's still kind of real? First of all, I can't believe anyone took the time to watch this video so closely they could even figure this out, but I guess some Internet sleuths looked up the addresses of some of the homes on Zillow to see neighborhood layouts and home interiors and discovered that a couple of the "thieves" were actually opening the boxes inside the homes they were supposedly stealing them from! The guy that created the device and posted the video said the staged reactions happened when he let friends borrow the device and set them on their porches.
