Beards have been a growing trend in fashion/style the last several years, but maybe this study will put a stop to that? The study in question was actually meant to find out if humans could contract dog-borne diseases, but ended up finding that men's beards actually contain more harmful bacteria than dogs fur! They took samples from beards of 18 men aged 18 to 76 and samples from the necks of 30 dogs, and found that ALL of the guys beards had high microbial counts but only 23 of the dogs had similar microbial presence! Now, I don't know if this will genuinely have an impact on the beard trend, because this won't deter me from kissing my bearded boyfriend. I mean, I've already been doing that for the 4 or so years he's had a beard and it's been fine, so no big deal right? I will say, though, this makes me feel a whole lot better about the amount I nuzzle and kiss my puppies, ha!! Click the link in the tweet below to read more about it!
