Dierks Bentley Teams Up With Kelsea Ballerini For 'Different For Girls'

Stars crossed paths on Saturday night (May 6) when Dierks Bentley invited Kelsea Ballerini on stage for a surprise collaboration of "Different for Girls" during his set at our 2017 iHeartCountry Festival, A Music Experience By AT&T.

Smack dab in the middle of his 25-minute set, which included numbers like "I Hold On," "Tip It on Back," "Black," "Somewhere on a Beach" and "Drunk on a Plane," the 41-year-old country titan surprised the sold-out Frank Erwin Center with Ballerini. Taking over honors for Elle King, who originally sings on the Black single, Bentley told the crowd that the on-stage collaboration is "something that [they'll] never see anywhere else again." Wearing a sparkly jacket, the 23-year-old pranced onto the stage and immediately started delivering lines, before the two went deep with the rare collab.

Ballerini had previously hit the stage in the evening, churning out performances of "Yeah Boy," "Dibs," "Peter Pan" and "Love Me Like You Mean It." She recently made waves when she honored Britney Spears during the pop titan's Icon Awards presentation at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards.

After the number, Bentley revealed that his set comes amidst sickness. However, the singer has a particular kind of remedy when he's not feeling too well. "When I get sick, I always blame it on the fact that maybe I'm not drinking enough, so I took my alcohol content from here up to here and, guess what, I'm feeling pretty good now," he explained.

iHeartCountry, a music experience presented by AT&T, locked down country music heavyweights Jason Aldean, Little Big Town, Rascal Flatts, Lady Antebellum, and others on the main stage. iHeart's very own country radio personality Bobby Bones is doing double duty as host and performer with his band, The Raging IdiotsClick here for more updates on the show.

You can re-live the iHeartCountry Festival during the special TV broadcast on May 19 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Audience via DIRECTV Channel 239, DIRECTV NOW, or U-verse Channel 1114.
