Georgia has always brought some solid talent to reality singing shows. Season 3 of American Idol has one from Acworth and one from ATL that blew away the judges.
Acworth, GA was the first to let their talent shine on episode 1 on Season 3. Camryn Leigh Smith wowed the judges with her crazy good voice. Luke Bryan was the most smitten with her and even compared her to an early Katy Perry. Katy agreed there was some resemblance in her voice and style.
Katy told Camryn that she "gave her hope for season 3". It was all smiles after that. Three yeses got her a golden ticket to Hollywood!
Then, last night on Episode 2, we got to see another magical Atlanta talent. Cyniah Elise, 17, from Atlanta come from a very musical family and even had a bit of viral fame with a video in her living room, where she was singing with family. She even studies music Martha Ellen Stilwell School of the Arts. Once she opened her mouth to sing, it was all chills. WOW!
Her rendition of Calum Scott’s “You Are the Reason" got her a unanimous ticket to Hollywood! Lionel Richie even compared her to Whitney Houston.
Looks like Georgia's talent is going to shine again on this season.
