People Drink More in the Winter

A study from the University of Pittsburgh found that people who live in cold climates drink more than people in warmer climates. This was true around the world, that people who are used to lower temperatures and fewer hours of daylight, consume more alcohol in the long run than people who live in hot, bright areas. They believe it's because alcohol increases blood flow to the skin causing you to feel warmer even if you not really. That's why people who deal with the cold more reach for booze more frequently.
