According to the video in the tweet below, New Zealand is having an issue of sand being taken from their beaches for construction purposes, but it's leading to land erosion and damage of the beaches! DB Export Beer, though, has installed beer bottle crushing machines that pulverize your bottles into sand! From the looks of it, it would be really fun to watch and could draw a crowd at any bar or restaurant where these are located! Check out the video below to see even more about it. I am already an avid recycler so I think this is a great way to productively reuse glass!
