Minneapolis is among several cities that are banning the construction of new drive-thrus, theorizing that it will make people eat healthier, as well as cut down on littering and improve traffic. Existing drive-thrus are not being targeted in the ban, but consumers are still upset at the thought of extending the amount of time they'll have to spend to get their food if they must park and walk in to order. So far there is also no evidence to show that the bans are working in any of the cities they've been implemented.
