For the most part, all toilets are about the same and have been for years. Even this change is minor, but may have big effects! Developers have tested out this new toilet that has a 13 degree slant forward in England, and say it's leading to shorter bathroom breaks and therefore more employee productivity. See, at this angle your legs actually have to bear some of your weight to stay on the toilet, making bathroom visits over 5 minutes very uncomfortable. According to this article form the Daily Mail the developers also claim that it will give health benefits such as improved posture, but the "main benefit is to employees in improved employee productivity". I'm wondering if that's a typo as it seems to me that employers will benefit more than employees, and I just feel sorry for anyone who's trying to work through an upset stomach or any bathroom issues!
