My husband and I closed on our new house at the beginning of August, and have slowly been working on getting settled and making updates! Some of the things we have accomplished are painting the living room, kitchen, and master bedroom, plus updated the trim. We just haven't finished furnishing or decorating those rooms, so I don't count them as complete. We also switched out the handles on the kitchen cabinets, but still want to change the cabinet colors. Basically the list goes on and on of updates, projects we want to do, but we have finally completed one!
The master closet was a huge reason for purchasing the house, because it's honestly huge and we were coming from a home with basically no closet space. However, it was dark and the shower rods weren't quite long enough for the brackets they were in, so when I decided to paint it a lighter color my husband figure we might as well rip out all the shelving and put in our own. He made and stained all the new shelves and racks, and even installed a built in mirror that spins around to reveal more storage lazy Susan style. I feel like these pictures don't even do it justice, but I hope you get an idea of the hard work he put into this project!
