Turns Out Tattoos Block Sweat, Could Lead to Overheating

Tattoos have become way more socially acceptable and mainstream over the last several years, but that doesn't mean we're not still discovering new things about them. A new study has found that they damage sweat glands! According to researchers, skin that has ink tattooed over it produces almost 50% less sweat than uncovered skin. Now, while my first thought was, "if you sweat excessively and it embarrasses you, just get tattoos!" that is obviously sooo unhealthy and not what you should do. Sweating is healthy and if the body is unable to do it, it may overheat. I would imagine small tattoos on areas of the body that don't really normally sweat are probably still okay, but you may want to read the article linked in the tweet below to decide for yourself!
